Terms of Use

1. Scope of Service

PerSight lets you ask your own database questions in natural language; it turns your question into a read-only (SELECT-only) SQL query that runs on your own computer.

For SQL generation, your question and your database schema (table/column names) are passed to an AI model via our cloud service; your row data is not sent (see the Privacy Policy for details).

The generated SQL is always visible and editable; reviewing it before running is the user's responsibility.

2. Plans, Fees and Taxes

We offer a free plan and paid plans (Pro, Duo, Team). Each plan's monthly question and schema-scan allowances, along with user and device counts, are published on the pricing page. Enterprise use is governed by a separate agreement.

Prices are shown in euro (EUR) and exclude value added tax. The seller is registered for VAT in Germany; the total amount payable is calculated at checkout and shown for your approval.

For sales to consumers resident in the European Union, German VAT is added and shown separately on the invoice. For businesses that provide a valid EU VAT identification number, the seller does not charge VAT under the reverse charge rule; accounting for the tax is the buyer's responsibility.

For customers resident outside the European Union, EU VAT is not applied. Any tax obligations in the customer's own country are the customer's responsibility.

Sales to customers resident in Türkiye are made to businesses only (acting for trade, business or professional purposes); a tax identification number is requested at checkout and VAT is accounted for by the buyer under the reverse charge. Purchasing as a consumer in Türkiye is not currently possible.

Payments are collected through our payment service provider, Stripe. Your card details are never transmitted to, or stored on, PerSight servers.

Subscriptions are billed in advance for the period you choose (monthly or annual) and renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel. Renewals are charged at the list price in effect on the renewal date.

Where a free trial applies to your first subscription, payment is taken automatically at the end of the trial; if you cancel during the trial, no charge is made. Trials apply to first subscriptions only.

You can cancel at any time from the subscription management link in your account panel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; access continues until then and no partial refund is made for unused time. Refunds under the right of withdrawal are separate from this provision.

If a payment fails, your access continues for a period while the payment is retried. If the retries do not succeed, the subscription ends and query generation stops.

Changes to prices or plan contents are notified by e-mail before they take effect and apply only from the renewal period following that notice. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before renewal.

3. Withdrawal and Refunds

For consumers, the period, procedure and exceptions applying to the right of withdrawal are set out in the Right of Withdrawal and Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these terms.

We do not ask you to waive your right of withdrawal: if you bought as a consumer, your 14-day withdrawal right remains even if you have already started using the service. On receipt of your withdrawal notice we refund your payment.

Outside the right of withdrawal, refunds are not mandatory. Where the service could not be provided or a charge was made in error, we will review your request at hello@persight.ai.

4. Account and Security

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and password confidential, and for activity under your account.

We recommend using a read-only (SELECT-privileged) user for your database connection; your connection details are stored encrypted on your device and are not sent to the cloud.

If you notice unauthorized access or a security breach, notify us at hello@persight.ai.

5. Acceptable Use

You will use PerSight only on databases and data you are authorized to access, and in compliance with applicable law.

You may not use the service to reverse engineer it, abuse it, impose excessive or automated load, circumvent security measures, or infringe the rights of third parties.

Verifying that the generated SQL fits your data and purpose is your responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights in the PerSight software, brand and content are reserved. A subscription grants you a right to use the software under these terms, not ownership of it.

Your database schema, your questions and the generated queries belong to you. We process them only to provide the service, keep it secure, and meet legal obligations (see the Privacy Policy).

We keep usage statistics to measure and improve service quality; these records do not contain your row data.

7. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for a material breach of these terms, abuse of the service, or failure of payment. Where possible, we give notice first.

You may cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

On termination, your account data is deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period, subject to statutory retention obligations.

8. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available"; to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, all express or implied warranties are disclaimed. Consumers' statutory rights are unaffected.

AI-generated SQL may be incorrect or incomplete; although queries are generated read-only, PerSight is not responsible for decisions made based on the results.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, PerSight is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. We will announce material changes by reasonable means; the current version is always published on this page.

Changes affecting fees or other essential elements of the contract are notified by e-mail before they take effect and apply only from the following renewal period.

Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

The seller is established in Germany and these terms are governed by German law. That choice of law does not deprive a consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer provisions of the country in which they are habitually resident.

For contracts with consumers, the competent court is the one designated by law. For disputes with merchants and legal persons under public law, the court at the seller's place of business has jurisdiction.

Consumers resident in Türkiye may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees or the Consumer Courts, depending on the monetary thresholds.
